The 1st plenary meeting of the SmartShip project has been successfully held online, on 6th February 2023. The meeting was hosted by the project’s Coordinator, Mr. Fotis Oikonomou from DANAOS, and representatives from our 7 partners joined the meeting. The 1st plenary meeting provided an excellent opportunity to monitor the progress achieved so far, and we went through the secondments planning process, project management updates, dissemination, and training activities. Moreover, within the last part of the agenda, the partners had a technical discussion focusing on the SmartShip technical developments, along with possible future services implementation, such as real time vessel activity classification to routing optimization use case, and vessel monitoring performance. In regard to this, partners discussed also the documentation of the upcoming technical deliverables of SmartShip, D4.1 and D5.1.
Furthermore, CERC partner, presented a solid plan ahead for the upcoming 6 months for achieving dissemination results by spreading knowledge and creating good networking opportunities. By the end of the meeting, partners produced new ideas such as organizing further workshops and trainings within the dissemination activities, in physically nature, to achieve an in-person integration meeting and boost our discussion culture!
