On September 4, Marie-Skłodowska Curie Actions, posted on social media (Twitter and Facebook), the Fellow of the Week, describing the research engagement in the SmartShip project of MBA, MSc Vlatka Katusic, research fellow from our academic partner ENPC. Ms. Katusic's core research interest focuses on the incorporation of Circular Economy concepts in the maritime field and the sketch of roadmaps for marine vessel management optimization in terms of energy efficiency, fuel consumption, and emissions control. The post also describes Ms. Katusic's secondment experience in our non-academic partner, Information and Technology for Market Leadership (ITML).
Ms. Katusic's insight:
"Working on the SmartShip project is allowing me to deepen my knowledge of environmental issues such as air pollution as well as to explore the means and opportunities that CE and ICT can bring to emissions control in the maritime sector in compliance with international regulations. I am also gaining experience in project management and reinforcing my communication skills. I feel very fortunate to have the chance to travel and work in different international environments with some of the leaders in their fields".
